Herbal Broths for Immunity / October 20th
Sunday, October 20th, 1:00-3:00 pm
with clinical herbalist and nutritionist Liz Faermark
Your pantry might look more like an apothecary than you think! Culinary herbs and spices, medicinal mushrooms, mineral-rich seaweeds, and common veggies can all be used to create delicious and nutritious broths. During the cold months, these easy-to-digest preparations can offer us an outlet for creativity, a versatile kitchen staple, and a wealth of immune support.
This class will explore the basics of making different herbal broths, and the health benefits of the different herbs used. We'll taste different veggies, mushrooms, herbs and culinary spices to understand their unique actions, and feel how they impact the body. Throw on your apron, and join clinical herbalist and nutritionist Liz Faermark for this class on kitchen herbalism for immune health. Participants will receive a handout summarizing the class' teachings.
Cancellation policy: Due to limited space, if you need to cancel please give as much notice as possible. We can only offer refunds on classes cancelled at least 48 hours before the event. Thanks for your understanding.
