Strongwater Cocktail Bitters
CHERRY BOURBON BITTERS // Jaded by the extracted flavor of most cherry bitters on the market, we set out to make a version that really tastes like fresh peak-summer cherries, ideal for enhancing classics like the Manhattan and adding a rich, fruity note to cocktails made from brown and white spirits alike. Our Cherry is built on real organic tart/bing cherries, which give this bitters a voluptuous, fruit-forward profile. We use bourbon as our base, which draws earth and forest from the cinnamon, cherry bark, and gent
FLORAL BITTERS // Originally formulated in collaboration with a local farm, our Floral bitters harnesses the fragrance and spirit of the alpine wildflower meadows of our native Rocky Mountains. Lavender and chamomile form the heady backbone of this elixir, punched up by spicy Colorado florals and bittered gently with wormwood. Simultaneously woodsy and delicate, Floral works magic in cocktails made with white spirits like vodka and gin, and it matches nicely to sparkling wine in spritzes.
GOLDEN BITTERS // Golden in hue and redolent of Chai tea aromatics, our flagship Aromatic bitters layers real turmeric, cardamom, allspice, sassafras, and other mountain botanicals into a complex and fragrant elixir whose bitterness is complemented by warm earth, robust black pepper, and rich baking spice. A key ingredient in a number of award-winning Old Fashioneds, Golden plays especially nicely with whiskey, gin, and tequila.
ORANGE BITTERS // Orange bitters is abundant in classic cocktail recipes. Our version -- fruit-forward, floral, and softly spiced -- offers an alternative to the one-note orange bitters that dominate the market. The secret’s in the hand-peeled orange zest, whose citrus oil smooths the edges of an exactingly calibrated mix of black walnut, gentian, clove, and cardamom. Evocative of fragrant orange groves, it’ll add new depth to any cocktail that calls for it, and has the versatility to match to any spirit.
VIRTUE BITTERS // Rose, sage, holy basil, chrysanthemum, and lemongrass meld to create this delicate, herbaceous bitters, which is inspired by ceremonial flowers used the world over. Softly bitter and lightly sweet, it was originally envisioned as a complement to white spirits like vodka and gin, sparkling wine, and sparkling water -- but we know many mixologists who stir the Rose-Sage into whiskey to great effect. With its balanced profile and floral palate, it’s also a bartender favorite for low-ABV cocktails.
