Nutritive herbs are an essential tool for any herbalist - whether they've been using herbs for many years, or are just getting curious about plant medicine. Nutritive herbs are those rich in vitamins and minerals. They offer a simple, safe, plant-based approach to supplementing our diets so that we can satisfy the body's nutritional needs. These herbs can support our bodies in the face of hormonal imbalances, skin issues, digestive woes, stress or anxiety, and general effects of nutrient deficiencies.
Join clinical herbalist and nutritionist Liz Faermark for this foundational class. Class participants will meet a few key nutritive herbs, learn how to prepare like a pro herbalist, and explore some rituals for incorporating these nutritious plants into everyday life.
If you would like to prepare/sip infusions during the class, below is a shopping list of herbs that will be discussed with links to purchase. Make sure you have at least 1-2 tablespoons of each herb on hand to smell, touch, inspect, and brew in tea. Feel free to stock up on more than that if you want to continue using each herb!
