Winter Solstice Wreath-Making with Alexa Hapgood

Thursday, December 14th, 6-8:30pm

Come join us for a wreath-making class to celebrate the Winter Solstice and honor the holiday season. Participants will create a one-of-a-kind, completely natural and locally foraged, evergreen and botanical, 18" wreath that they can adorn their home with for the remainder of winter. Participants will also take home the skills and confidence to ethically and sustainably forage for materials and create their own beautiful seasonal wreaths in the future.
Wreath base and wrapping wire can be reused for many future years to come. With the exception of the wire, all the materials used in the wreaths are locally and ethically foraged in Boulder County.
Alexa Hapgood has a deep reverence and wonder for the natural world and strives to live her life in connection and gratitude with the changing seasons. She enjoys growing and foraging for food, herbal medicine, and materials for art making and loves teaching these skills to others. Alexa is the founder of an Ecological and Edible Garden Consulting and Design Company called Roaming Roots LLC and grows and runs a Medicinal Herb Garden with her partner on their organic farm just south of Longmont.
