Although the first recorded deposits of this clay were found in France, it is now known to be found in many different spots around the globe. Green clay gets its color from decomposed plant matter and naturally occurring iron oxides. French green clay has strong drawing properties so it can be helpful for acne and is recommended for average to oily skin.
