Blue Sage

Blue Sage is a hardy, plentiful sagebrush plant found in arid & semi-arid climates throughout the Southwest. It is used in cleansing & purification rituals in much the same way as traditional white sage. The smoke is used to bless, cleanse and heal the person, object or space being smudged. Sage is used to 'wash off' the outside world when one enters ceremony or other sacred space. Objects are likewise washed off with sage medicine smoke to rid them of unwanted influences.
