Evergreens, like cedar, spruce, juniper and pine have had a relationship with humans for generations. They bestow many gifts upon us, especially during winter time when food and medicine are scarce. Evergreens are high in minerals and vitamins, making them an excellent winter ally for cold and flu season. Healing salves and infused oils made from spruce and pine pitch make long lasting topical remedies you can use throughout the seasons for everything from massage to healing bruises and wounds. In this class you will learn:
  • How to identify and harvest local evergreens, their pitch/resins and seeds
  • How to make teas, infused oils and pitch salve
  • The medicinal and spiritual benefits of evergreens
