Thursday, July 17th, 6-8pm
Location: Coal Creek Trailhead
with Cat Pantaleo M.A. Certified Herbalist, Nutritionist and Forest Therapy Guide
A plant walk with longtime Herbalist, Cat Pantaleo, is a beautiful blend of tapping into both intuitive and scientific ways of knowing the world. An opportunity to not only meet and learn about the abundance of green allies in your neighborhood and their medicinal properties and edibility, but an occasion to re-establish and honor the ancient human/ plant relationship through slowing down and engaging your senses. Participants will also receive an introduction to plant family patterns, an extremely valuable tool that facilitates knowledge of an unfamiliar plant’s attributes and potential toxicity.
Special Note: kiddos 12 and up welcome and pay full price; 8-11 attend for free and those 7 and younger not encouraged as their limited attention span may inhibit accompanying adult from fully engaging.
Location: The meeting spot is at the Public Rd Trailhead in Lafayette right along the Coal Creek Trail (1881 S Public Rd, Lafayette).
Details and map here. There is limited parking at the trailhead so we encourage you to bike if possible. Please be sure to bring water, sunscreen and a hat as it will most likely be hot. If you like to take notes, bring paper and pen.
