Botanical Facial Care Workshop
with Faith Rodgers, Owner of the Little Herbal Apothecary and Certified Clinical Herbalist

Wednesday, September 10th, 5:30-8:00pm

After over a decade of experience and exploration in the world of botanical skin care, we’ve nailed down some tried-and-true recipes that will leave your skin balanced and radiant. In this workshop you will learn to build a skincare regime perfect for YOUR skin type that’s sustainable long term.
You’ll Learn:
- An herbalist’s approach to holistic skincare
- How, why, & how often to use cleansers, masks, toners, steams, and serums
- How to make your own exfoliating scrubs and cleansing balms, botanical toners, herbal facial steams, nourishing serums, and clarifying masks.
- The benefits of different herbs, essential oils, and other ingredients for different skin types and various skincare goals
Participants will make and take home their own facial scrub, toner, steam, mask and serum. Class Price $68 per person.
Back to School Herbs

Tuesday, September 18th, 6:30-8 pm
Join clinical herbalist Liz Faermark for an informative workshop on how to support kids as they ease back into the school year! School age kids can experience a ton of emotional and physiological resets as they transition from summer to fall. Come learn how to support your kids (and yourself) in the face of social or academic anxiety, sleep schedule adjustments, and the increased need for mental focus.
This classroom atmosphere will be lecture based with tea and tincture tastings! All participants will take home a guide summarizing all of the herbal preparations that we learn about in this workshop. Class Price $39 per person.

Treat yourself to a beautiful evening of fun, friends and pampering! We will go through a full facial routine using our handcrafted, organic skincare products. Cleanse and clarify, steam with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, apply a gorgeous clay facial mask with active botanicals, give your skin deep nourishment & hydration with one of our nourishing facial serums. Fall Equinox Fire Cider Workshop
with Liz Faermark, Certified Clinical Herbalist

Sunday, September 21st, 1:00-3:00pm
Join certified clinical herbalist Liz Faermark for a ritual celebration of good health around the Fall Equinox! Fire cider is a traditional tonic that’s made with vinegar and a variety of immune-supportive herbs and foods like garlic, onion, horseradish, hot peppers, spicy roots, and aromatic herbs. Making fire cider is a traditional way to prepare for the transition from the warm days of late summer and fall, to the more quiet and inward times of late fall and winter. Come learn about the history, lore and benefits of fire cider. And concoct your own fire cider for immune and digestive support! We’ll be using a variety of veggies and herbs. All materials provided. Participants will take home one jar of brewing fire cider, and a handout summarizing what we learn! Class Price $45 per person.
Build Your Home Apothecary

Monday, September 29th, 5:00-7:00pm
Join herbalist, Liz Philbrick, in this comprehensive class and learn how to build a user friendly and well organized home apothecary. Liz will discuss how to choose herbs and ingredients for your specific home health needs and what to have on hand to address a variety of common ailments. We will touch on topical and internal applications, common herbal preparations and how to organize, store and document your herbs, ingredients and remedies. Class Price $45 per person.
Make & Take Night: Lip Gloss

Friday, October 3rd, 6:30-8:00pm
Get your shine on—naturally! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own nourishing lip gloss using plant-based oils and butters. Choose your favorite tints, scents, and shimmer for a glossy finish that feels as good as it looks.

Botanical Art Series
with Rebecca Lefebvre, Artist

4 part series on Tuesday evenings (October 7th, October 14th, October 21st, October 28th), 6-8pm
Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature with the Botanical Art Series Over four enriching sessions, you'll learn how to sketch, paint, and bring your botanical subjects to life, experimenting with different approaches to shading, blending, and texture. From understanding composition and form to mastering layering techniques, you'll discover how to capture the delicate details and vibrant colors of nature, all while developing your unique artistic style.

Class 1: Introduction to Botanical Composition
Begin by learning the basics of botanical composition and how to sketch simple plants, flowers, and stems. You’ll also explore the fundamentals of using watercolor pencils to draw and color your subjects. -
Class 2: Watercolor Pencil Techniques
Dive deeper into the world of watercolor pencils. Learn how to apply layers of color and use water to create delicate gradients and soft transitions in your botanical artwork. -
Class 3: Shading and Blending for Realism
Focus on bringing your botanical pieces to life through shading and blending techniques. You’ll practice adding depth, texture, and detail, refining your ability to capture realistic foliage and flower petals. -
Class 4: Final Touches and Personal Style
In the final session, you’ll perfect your botanical compositions, learning advanced techniques for fine details, highlights, and texture. You’ll also be encouraged to experiment with stylized interpretations of your botanical subjects, developing your personal artistic approach.
By the end of this series, you will have completed a portfolio of botanical artwork and gained the skills and confidence to continue exploring botanical art on your own. Whether you aim for realism or prefer a more abstract, stylized interpretation, the Botanical Beauty series will empower you to express nature’s beauty with elegance and ease. No experience required. Coil Basketry Workshop
with Kat Mackinnon, Certified Clinical Herbalist

Friday, October 10th, 5:00-8:00pm
Coil basketry is a global technique, seen in ancient European bee skeps and American West pine needle baskets. This hands-on class focuses on materials specific to the Southwest, covering their collection, processing, and various coiling styles. You’ll learn practical weaving techniques to create functional baskets—from watertight rock boil vessels to durable gathering containers. You’ll take home both a handmade basket and the foundational skills to continue crafting on your own. Class Price $85 per person.

Herbal Broths for Immunity

This class will explore the basics of making different herbal broths, and the health benefits of the different herbs used. We'll taste different veggies,& mushrooms, herbs and culinary spices to understand their unique actions, and feel how they impact the body. Throw on your apron, and join clinical herbalist and nutritionist Liz Faermark for this class on kitchen herbalism for immune health. Participants will receive a handout summarizing the class teachings. Class price $40 per person.
Plant Spirit Connection
with Rachel Weitz, Animistic Healing Artist

Sunday, October 26th, 4:00-6:00pm
The plants are our elders. They have been on earth longer than humans and have a long and wide view. All of us have the ability to have a relationship with the plant spirits. It is in our cells and our bones. Come and remember your ancient kinship with the plants.
Join us in a sacred circle to participate in a ritual of connecting to the spirits of the plants beyond what has been written. Experience your own direct relationship to the plants for healing, wisdom and blessing. Through hands-on experience with the plants and guided drumming you will be introduced to the spiritual world of the plants.
We will meet during the season of Samhain, which is an earth-centered holiday when the veils between the human and spirit world are thin. An auspicious and magical time for such a ritual. Class price $65 per person.
Herbal Syrups Workshop

Monday, October 27th, 5:00-7:00pm
Get ready for cold & flu season! Join herbalist Liz Philbrick in this hands-on class to explore the world of herbal syrups—made with herbs, water, and honey to support immunity or soothe coughs and sore throats. You'll learn about the therapeutic properties of key herbs and how syrups can be used for wellness. Participants will make and take home their own Immune Boost syrup, perfect for preparing your body for the season ahead with natural, supportive remedies. Class price $55 per person.
Kids Halloween Potion Making
with Faith Rodgers, Certified Clinical Herbalist & Owner of the Little Herbal Apothecary

Do you have a little one who loves to make potions? Bring them to the Apothecary for a Halloween themed potion making workshop! Be sure they are ready to get MESSY and have FUN! Costumes are encouraged. Ages 6-10. Class price $30 per child.
